Prescient National’s multilingual text messaging platform facilitates communication between injured workers and their Claims Specialist and expedites the Workers’ Compensation claims process for all employees. The platform eliminates language barriers faced by non-English speaking employees, ensuring timely access to critical support and resources after a workplace injury — fostering greater trust and confidence in the claim process.
Getting Started
When reporting a workplace injury, employers are encouraged to include the injured worker’s mobile phone number and preferred language of communication in the First Report of Injury. Once the claim is processed, the injured worker will receive an automated text message prompting them to opt into the texting service by replying “yes.” When available, messages are delivered in the employee’s preferred language. If no language preference is provided, the message is automatically sent in both English and Spanish. Participation in the texting program is voluntary, and employees may opt out at any time.
Key Features of Prescient National’s Texting Platform
- Multilingual Support: The platform has an auto-translation feature, allowing injured employees to send and receive messages in their native languages. The platform supports Arabic, Bosnian, Chinese, French, German, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
- Enhanced Privacy and Security: The platform ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information and is both HIPAA and FCC-compliant. It provides a secure channel for communication between injured workers and claims specialists.
- Efficient Communication: With real-time text exchanges, the platform minimizes delays often associated with phone calls or in-person meetings. Injured workers can conveniently send messages, receive updates, and even share documents directly through the texting system. When necessary, either party can use the text messaging platform to schedule a call. Furthermore, Claims Specialists can send text message reminders for medical visits and/or inform them of light-duty employment options.
Texting with the Claims Specialist is the fastest, easiest way for an injured worker to stay informed of their workers’ compensation claim. No waiting on hold, no missed calls. Just quick, convenient communication that helps workers get the care and support needed to recover and return to work. It’s secure, simple, and designed to make their life easier during a challenging time.
Prescient National is committed to helping employees return to their preinjury condition as soon as possible after a work injury occurs. We offer various programs to help reduce the length of time lost after a workplace accident, medical and indemnity expenses, and Workers’ Compensation costs while improving productivity.
