Our goal at Prescient National is to provide policyholders with a successful Workers’ Compensation program. To this end, we want employers to have as much access to information as possible to facilitate the claims process – an integral approach to driving better Workers’ Compensation outcomes. Following is a brief rundown of some of the claims resources available to you.

View Detailed Information for Each Claim

Transparency is important to us at Prescient National. Our clients are able to view details* for every reported claim using our Policy & Claims Information Center:

  • Initial claim report by employer
  • Acknowledgment of claim report
  • Required state forms
  • Medical forms and medical notes and all communication from the provider
  • Communication from adjuster to both the employer and employee
  • Reserves data
  • Adjuster’s action plan for each claim, which is reviewed and updated every 90 days or after a significant change

Access to Key Reports

Employers have access to several reports, as well. A “Claim Size Report” provides an overall analysis of claims. The “Insured Loss Experience Report” gives employers access to loss runs – the business’s claims history over the last three years. And the “Top 20 Claims Report” provides information on the largest claims for their organization.

Employers can also pull a “Loss Summary Report” to get an overview of their recent losses and dig deep into the type of injuries occurring and their cause. This can help employers make improvements in safety programs and in mitigating or eliminating certain hazards. In addition, employers can get a clear view of the monies being spent for medical treatment, indemnity payments, and ongoing care costs for each claim, which have a direct impact on an employer’s Workers’ Compensation premiums.

Who Has Access to the Portal?

When an employer’s policy begins, Prescient National conducts a welcome call with key employer contacts and will ask who at the company should have access to the Policy & Claims Information Center. These individuals may include, for example, the owner, safety manager, accountant, and claims manager. If additional logins are needed, simply contact our Help Desk at help.desk@prescientnational.com.

Additional Resources

In addition to access to claims information, employers can visit our website to:

  • Report a claim online
  • Access information and forms related to an employee injury
  • Search for medical providers via our physician network
  • Search our pharmacy network to find an in-network pharmacy
  • Get assistance in creating a physician panel where required in certain states

We also encourage employers to access our library of articles on relevant topics that include the importance of background checks in the hiring process, why timely claims filing drives better outcomes, the benefits of light-duty after an injury, and much more.

We invite our policyholders and agency partners to share with us any topics that you would like to see discussed in our blog, Insights. Just contact info@prescientnational.com.
